Who the Halo Project supports

The Halo Project supports

  • Individuals at risk of or experiencing honour-based abuse
  • Survivors of forced marriage
  • People facing coercive control linked to family or community pressures

How support works

Initial contact – Individuals or professionals get in touch for advice or support

Assessment – We assess risk and immediate needs

Ongoing support – Advocacy, safety planning, and tailored interventions

Next steps – Support with longer-term options and referrals where appropriate

Support is free and accessible, and we work closely with trusted partners to ensure continuity of care

Our impact

Over the years, the Halo Project has

Supported thousands of individuals across the UK

Responded to complex, high-risk cases with positive outcomes

Trained and advised professionals in education, health, social care, and policing

Helped shape safer, more informed responses to honour-based abuse

Behind every statistic is a person whose life has changed because someone listened, acted, and stayed alongside them.

“The support I received helped me feel safe for the first time in years. I didn’t feel judged or rushed, just understood.”

Why the Halo Project matters

Honour-based abuse and forced marriage often remain hidden due to fear, stigma, and isolation. The Halo Project exists to ensure that no one faces these harms alone.

Our longevity, expertise, and survivor-centred approach mean we are trusted by individuals, communities, and professionals nationwide.
