What Student Halo Hubs does

Safe spaces & peer-informed support

Hubs provide accessible spaces where students can talk openly, seek guidance, and feel less alone. Support is shaped by lived experience and delivered with care and understanding.

Early intervention & prevention

By engaging students early, Student Halo Hubs helps prevent issues from escalating and reduces the risk of long-term harm.

Partnership with universities

We work closely with universities, student unions, and wellbeing teams to complement existing services and improve joined-up support.

Awareness, training & engagement

Student Halo Hubs delivers workshops, resources, and awareness activity to improve understanding of hidden harms, wellbeing, and student safeguarding.

How the hubs work
  1. Local hubs – Delivered in partnership with universities or student bodies
  2. Accessible support – Drop-in, referral, or signposted access depending on location
  3. Collaboration – Close working with campus services and external partners
  4. Ongoing development – Each hub adapts to local student needs

The model is flexible, scalable, and designed to work alongside existing student support structures.

  • Helped students feel safer, heard, and more confident seeking help

Student feedback consistently highlights the importance of having support that feels relatable, trusted, and easy to access.

“The support I received helped me feel safe for the first time in years. I didn’t feel judged or rushed, just understood.”

Why Student Halo Hubs matter

Students face increasing pressure around mental health, safety, finances, and family expectations. Many struggle to navigate complex systems or fear being misunderstood.

Student Halo Hubs exists to bridge that gap, providing support that is grounded in empathy, informed by experience, and embedded within student communities.
